Canterbury Tales

Initial view of Cathedral through Gates built by Henry VIII not long before he broke from Catholic Church.
The stone is actually crumbling in places.
Maintenance of ancient cathedral is an enormous and costly task.
Pointed arches of 14th Century Gothic Nave.

The candle marks location of original shrine for Thomas Beckett - ordered destroyed by Henry VIII.

  1. Cathedrals also boggle my mind. It's beautiful and terrifying all at once!
